The Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway (PKM) is the first railway line in Poland built by the Pomeranian Voivodeship Local Government. This modern transport infrastructure, connecting Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport with Wrzeszcz, is not only a symbol of technological progress, but also proof of how innovative solutions can improve the quality of life of residents. One of these innovative solutions is the installation of 21 passenger lifts (elevators) at 10 PKM stops. The lifts were installed by Techwind in 2014, are placed in a glass shaft and have glass cabins, which provides passengers with an unforgettable driving experience. This allows passengers to admire the city skyline while being comfortably transported to their destinations.
Moreover, the design of these lifts ensures trouble-free operation at any temperature and weather conditions. This means that regardless of whether it is a hot summer day or a cold winter, PKM lifts will operate efficiently and effectively.
